4 needles?!?

A couple of weeks ago I posted about a dialysis problem I referred to as "3 needles". I explained that my typical dialysis treatment involves the use of 2 needles and that day I had received the third needle because of a problem call "infiltration". It happens but fortunately it's rare. OR at least I thought it was. I've had 3 infiltrations in 3 weeks and today was the "creme de la creme"; 2 infiltrations in 20 minutes and 4 needles total. Pain, ache, swelling, nuisance.

My son shared an anecdote recently about a minister who was challenged to participation in an outreach with the words "it's not like we're asking you to take a beating and be hung on a cross". I guess that if I'm going to take up my cross daily pain, ache, swelling and nuisance is not all that bad.
